Hi, my name is Vanessa and I am an independent Travel Counsellor based in Heath Charnock near Chorley. I’m originally from West Yorkshire but moved here 10 years ago to follow my dream job in travel!
I have over 14 years experience working in the travel industry, starting out as cabin crew with Easyjet for 7 years. I then worked for Thomas Cook before becoming part of the fantastic Travel Counsellors head office team. I recently decided to combine my passion for travel with my love of planning and become a Travel Counsellor.
I have travelled extensively from exploring some amazing cities such as Paris and New York to amazing sun holidays in Mexico & Santorini! My favourite place is definitely Las Vegas. I’ve been 3 times so far and don’t think I’d ever get bored of going there! I have also just returned from my amazing honeymoon in Dubai & the Maldives.
Being a Travel Counsellor is far more than just being a travel consultant; I am your personal Travel Concierge. From the planning stages of your holiday to the day you return home, I am here to ensure your travel experience in entirely stress free. I can also arrange additional elements of your holiday such as car hire, private transfers, airport hotels & parking, airport lounges and excursions. I want to plan your perfect trip without all that stressful time spent looking through endless websites. I work flexible hours which also means I can be available at a time to suit you.
Being a member of the Travel Counsellors family means I am not tied to suppliers so I can tailor your holiday to completely suit your needs. I have connections with all major tour operators as well as small, independent, niche and specialist travel companies that can’t be booked online or on the high street.
Throughout my time in travel my focus has been on providing the highest level of customer service. It is such an important factor to me when I travel and I believe it is how my customers should be treated. For me, it’s more than just creating a holiday, it’s creating your perfect memories that will last a lifetime. In November 2021, we were very lucky to spend 7 nights at Atmosphere Kanifushi in the Maldives as the second part of our honeymoon. It certainly didn’t disappoint, and our only regret is that we didn’t book to stay for longer! We took the 35 minute seaplane from Malé which was such an amazing experience! I’ve recently just returned from Dubai which was the first of 2 stops on our honeymoon! We were super lucky to be travelling Business Class with Emirates which was an absolutely amazing experience! Firstly we were chauffeured from home to the airport which feels so special. We flew out on the Airbus A380 and were handed champagne when we sat down, followed by a hot towel and then a Bvlgari toile

Santorini had been on my ‘’list’’ for a while when we finally decided to take the plunge and visit the beautiful Greek island in 2018 and my goodness, it did not disappoint! We decided to stay in Imerovigli which is located on the North West of the island and boasts the best views of the sunset and the caldera as well as having that iconic Santorini feel with the whitewashed buildings with blue
